An Update on Church Events from your Pastor & Session

Centennial Family,

In light of the recent updates from our president and national, state, and local agencies, the Session of Centennial ARP Church has agreed to cancel all Bible Studies and church events for at least 15 days. We feel this is most appropriate considering our demographics and CDC guidelines, and we will reconsider in the beginning parts of April.

At the same time, recognizing the extreme fluidity of our current situation, the Session will communicate its decision on our Lord's Day worship this Friday.

As I have been doing, I would encourage each of us to consider what God's desire is in these coming weeks. He certainly desires worship, but we must remember his words tucked away in Hosea 6,

"For I desire steadfast love and not sacrifice, the knowledge of God rather than burnt offerings" (v. 6).

These decisions are not being made out of fear. They are not "jumping on the bandwagon." These decisions are heavy ones with the glory of God and the safety of God's people in mind. Please pray for me and our Session even as we pray for y'all.

If you have any questions, call me, an elder, or the church office! In this time of physical isolation, never forget that we are not isolated from one another's encouragement and prayer. There are several ways we will be attempting to stay digitally connected and provide encouragement and service opportunities in the coming weeks. I look forward to sharing about this in the coming days.

God's blessings,

Jeremiah
